This quaint village is a popular resort on the banks of the Glaslyn Estuary, and is a world away from it’s neighbour, Porthmadog, only a 5 minute walk away from the harbour.

The views over the estuary to the Rhinog Mountains to the south, and the Moelwyn Mountains to the east are stunning on a clear day, especially in the spring when there can still be snow on the summits.

From the village there are a few footpaths along the cliffs leading eventually to Black Rock Sands, near neighbouring Morfa Bychan. Along the side of the estuary there are many small coves and hidden places to explore.
It’s the perfect location for families wanting a great family holiday by the seaside and for a romantic break with lots of beautiful places to visit and enjoy. Enjoy a picnic on the beach or have a drink and lunch or dinner at the Moorings Bistro or Borth-y-Gest Tea Rooms.

Borth-y-Gest is the perfect place for everybody.
